Twisted love story much like Romeo and Juliet

Pros Unpredictable at times. Great plot and climax and great character development.
Cons Moves slow at times. It's easy to skip ahead.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  It's an interesting story and you'll find yourself hungry to discover how it ends. Very enjoyable if you like love stories.
I don't usually dig the vampire genre. I've always thought it to be a bit cheesy. I don't really know what hooked me in and I really don't know what took me so long when I was hooked. Once I saw the first movie, I wanted to read the story and compare the characters. For those of you who have seen the movie. I believe that once you've read the stories you will agree that they chose the characters well. The only character that I was a little disappointed by was Jacob. It is much like a traggic love story. A little melodramatic at times. Not too teeny-bopper as some say. The second book in the series, New Moon was extremely melodramatic, but enjoyable. But I enjoy love stories and I can't put my finger on what gravitates me towards the story. I think it's Bella in the fact that she is so intriguing. Very much marches to the beat of her own drum, much like I imagine myself which is something that I can relate to. The first book was a little slow. The second and third moved a lot faster and the fourth was the best so far, although very long. There was so much more background and easier to understand why things happened that they didn't explain well in the movie. I've recently seen the second movie and can say that it was much like the book. Read the books first, you won't be disappointed and you'll have a better understanding if you chose to see the movie. The books are much, much more enjoyable than the movies. Far less high-school, more realistic life episodes.
