Well, there was a time when Mars and Venus kind of made sense, back when we looked at our dating patterns and really saw that men and women had to be understood in their own way. That was ok, but now, get ready for Mars and Venus, John Gray's money machine with all the paid seminars and all the satisfaction guaranteed stuff that really makes it just like another infomercial to me. I have to say that I didn't like the book too much. It is true, it gives you some good tips and I think they would work on how to generate the interest of your dating partner, but apart from that, really it is about nothing new. John Gray merely reinforces age-old stereotypes about men being the providers and women being the ones being provided for, and goes the rant. Granted, the tactics for gaining the interest of your dating partner may work, but what about the soul part? There is nothing in here but a diatribe on dating 'techniques' and also (believe it or not) a justification on why old role-models for male and women should continue. I don't see a strong reason to purchase this book as it really doesn't have any wisdom that could be obtained elsewhere. If you are single try walking your dog more often and stay tuned.
