I bought this book because I saw the girl who wrote it on the View...Star Jones took one bite of her Big Mac and said...it is BETTER THAN McDonald's. I nearly fell over. Then I went out and bought the book. And although the Fast Food Fix version has tons less fat and calories, Star was right. Then I find out the girl lost 55 pounds. I started trying other recipes and was continually blown away. It's crazy how close to the real versions they taste even though she substitutes lower fat ingredients. I've tried that a ton of times and it's never worked. One of the coolest things about the book is that she explains why she chose the stuff she did. Honestly, I think she's a bit nutty to have gone to the effort that she did--but it's obvious that she loves food and I'm glad she did it. Can we say, "perfectionist?". But again, she's my hero because the recipes ROCK ROCK ROCK!
