Dan Brown Has Done It Again
I'm going to try very hard to stray away from the plot of this book so as to not give anything away, let me say I just finished this book and I am still in awe of it. Dan Brown, the writer of The Da Vinci Code, Angles and Demons, and The Lost Symbol (among others) has done it again. He really... Read full review »
Politics gone wild
New Characters, new twists, new plot line, Dan Brown's Deception Point brings more to the table than a good bedtime read. This book kept me interested from beginning to end. Although it did seem to run on and left me wondering if i could skip to another chapter without losing the plot line... Read full review »
Deception Point
"Deception Point" is a Dan Brown novel with several interesting subplots and a relatively fast pace. The subplots include details about the main character's childhood and family life, a presidential election, and an amazing discovery by NASA with the potential to help one of the presidential... One of the best books I have read
This book by Dan Brown was amazing. It had me reading for two days until I finished it. It has many twists and turns that keep you guessing until you find out what the deception really is at the end of the book. It's something that you don't see coming the whole time. It really takes you by... Read full review »
Nasa's biggest mistake.
Deception point was released in 1998 by Dan Brown. Dan Brown is famous for his abstract and intriguing aspect of histories greatest marvels. Deception Point is all about NASA's struggle to achieve new greatness, and engrave a new found sense of greatness into the hearts of Americans. They decided... Read full review »
Dan Brown Takes on NASA
Like most people who have come to read Dan Brown's other books, I first read "Da Vinci Code," where I fell in love with Brown's fact-filled, energy-driven writing. This book, "Deception Point" is one of his earlier works, and because all of his works are now overshadowed by the "Da Vinci Code," you... Read full review »
The Point of Deception
"Deception Point" by Dan Brown
A NASA satellite discovers an unimaginable artifact, buried in the Artic. This faltering space agency claims it, as a (much needed) victory, for it has weighty implications for NASA policy and the current presidential election. For verification of...

A load of crap!!!!
This book stunck so bad!! I can't believe that I actually read this book! Starting from the beginning I hated this book a LOT. NEVER read this book. Dan Brown should be ashamed for writing something so bad after something awesome like Angels and Demons. Two thumbs down! Read full review »
Will we ever know the truth
From page one my mind was racing for answers. Every thing that is said or goes on in the book is a clue. There are no wasted words in the book. I would think I had figured everything out and it in one page my entire view would change. Read full review »
Sorry, Da Vinci Fans - This Is Brown's Best Book
Having read "Angels and Demons", "Digital Fortress" and the obligitory "Da Vinci Code", I was aware that Dan Brown had published another book, but it wasn't until an acquaintance said that "Deception Point" was his best that I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed.
A brief...

Dan Brown gets political
I have read all four Dan Brown books. I started with the Da Vinci code and worked my way up to Deception Point. I love all four Dan Brown books but I feel this one deserves much more credit than it often receives. The writing is still top notch with enough surprises to keep you guessing. The plot... Better than the DaVinci Code
I have been reading Dan Brown for a while. This was the first book of his I read. I have read ALL four of his books including Angels and Demons, the DaVinci Code, and Digital Fortress.
This book is by far the best of the three.
It is about the US government and its dealings with...

Head and shoulders above the rest!
President Zachary Herney, the incumbent in a hotly contested presidential race, is a strong supporter of a publicly funded NASA, open to the scientific community at large. His opponent, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, has made overspending and mismanagement at NASA his campaign hot button issue and... Read full review »
Deception Point
As one reviewer below me stated, this had nowhere near "the spark" as Dan Brown's other books. Although, I think I enjoyed this one a little better than "Digital Fortress". I would highly recommend any of his books because I think he is a fantastic author & all of his books are entertaining.

Enjoyable, but not up to Dan's usual standards
This adheres to Dan's proven formula: short chapters that leave you hanging at the end, multiple intertwingled plots, faith in the matrix of coincidence, and hints of a giant conspiracy that end up being one person's selfish plan. Unfortunately, it's too consistent and predictable. Still, it's an... Read full review »
Another NASA Hoax unravelled!!
Introduction
Dan Brown is an international celebrity now after the brilliant success of Da Vinci Code. I myself loved the book, and since then I have checked out some of his other books like Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress. I found that they were all similar books, so I was hoping for a...

a nice different read
Okay many wanted more "details" of the book, I apologize, I didn't want to give away a plot or a theme, just the fact that I thought it was a good book, but I will go into details since I was asked. This book is a great read, I read it late last year and my 13 year old son completed it when I was... Read full review »
Dan Brown: Special Needs Author
Despite possessing the intelligence to graduate with doctorate degrees in aerospace engineering from institutions such as MIT and Cal Tech, NASA scientists become entangled in a scientific coverup so boneheaded that Inspector Clueso is embarrassed. Dan Brown's Deception Pointless
Deception Point is what happens when an author tries to write science fiction that isn't science fiction in an attempt to appeal to the masses. Reading this book might give you a better idea of why Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code isn't as great as the hype makes it out to be.
I'd read The...

Dan Brown Should Stick With Religious Mythology
I've been putting off reading Deception Point because I wasn't confident of how it would be. I'd read Digital Fortress, his other political thriller and been much less impressed than I had been when I read his blockbuster novels Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code. But when BJ's had it for $3,... Read full review »
