We all want something in life that will transcend life itself. We want information that will make us second guess the way we act towards others. The book “Crazy Love” hits on several things that we need in our lives to be a better person. This book has caused me to personally change my life around. It has also caused several others to take a different outlook on the way we act as a person. Even if you haven't become a Christian or don't know what you believe in, this book will change the way you act morally. “Crazy Love” describes the type of love we must have in order to continue through our walk with God.
The first chapter talks about how we should pray. “We don't think before we pray” . We don't think of the fact that God will actually be listening to our prayers. We don't think about what we are going to say before we actually open our mouths and start rambling on to God. We simply need to pause and think about the words before we say them. This Chapter in the book was written to challenge Christians to change our prayer lives. We need to change the way we pray to God. Francis does a great job bringing out the necessity of the way we pray to our creator.
Every book has a main point that it wants to get across to the readers. The main idea of this book urges us to treat God with the same love that he treats us with. The God of the universe had so much in his heart to create us and make the universe we live in. Even after the creation of man, God has showed us love through the way our lives pan out. We need to get back to showing love for the man that created everything. Without this love in your heart you will be just another lukewarm Christian.
Francis puts great emphasis on how Christians give God the leftovers. We don't want to give God the fresh stuff out of our heart, we want to give him whatever we have left. This is not what God does for us. He did not create the universe out of his leftover love. He put his full time into everything he did for us. Everything from plants, animals, and human being were created out of Gods pure love for us. Nothing was done just to kill time. “God is Love” is how Francis describes how the God that created the universe is. He reflects love in everything he does. God is Love.
This book is a good read and will change the way we live our lives. Francis will challenge you in every aspect of your life. This goes for people who don't believe in God as well. It will sculpt us and sharpen our tools for Christianity. By the time you are done reading this you will love out of your heart and will be able to live your life the way God wants us to. It will truly be a “Crazy Love”. The book speaks for itself.
