Pros It won't take long to finish
Cons everything else - bad plot, hideous dialogue, poor character development, and just plain...
Recommended it? No

Go right ahead and put this book side by side with Exodus, or Trinity, and try to determine how the same author wrote both books... Where those were engaging, cleverly crafted, well-researched and written, A God in Ruins is simply awful.

Pros I got it at a garage sale, cheap.
Cons It wasn't worth the quarter I spent on it.
Recommended it? No

I was first exposed to Leon Uris's books as a young Marine, off to serve in Operation Desert Storm. His first novel, Battle Cry, was a fine portrayal of young Marines in WWII -- and based on Uris's own experiences in that war.
