The Bodum Electric Santos 12 Cup Coffee Maker is the greatest kitchen appliance to ever enter my house. Although the Bodum Santos was a bit on the pricey side, it was worth every penny! Not only does it brew rich, flavorful coffee, it is very stylish and a great conversation piece! The Santos is a vacuum brewer, which means you put water in the pot to start, it is heated, sucked up into the brewing area where it mingles with the coffee grounds for a short time, and finally, it is returned to the pot, ready to drink. It makes perfect coffee every time. The only downer about the Santos is cleaning the pot, I find it difficult, but make due with a coffee pot scrubber. After using a French Press for many years, and thinking that was perfection... the Bodum Santos has raised the bar for brewing coffee at home.
