If you can afford the price tag, and you love great coffee, then look no further. This is the best coffee pot at any price.
I bought my i-blue Bodum Santos coffee pot 10 months ago and I love it and use it every day. It has some nice features like keeping your coffee at the perfect drinking temperature for up to 2 hours. It also includes a timer for fresh coffee in the morning, and built in cord storage.
The great thing about this pot is the unique brewing method. It uses heat and vacuum to brew the coffee in a bubbling frenzy ending with a rush of coffee back in to the carafe. All this in less than 8 minutes for 12 cups of coffee. No bitter taste no at all! Nothing short of amazing!
The other great feature is the coffee is the best I've tasted, rivaling Starbucks! In fact Starbucks sells this product with their own label slapped on it. (Starbucks Barista Utopia) Good coffee beans are a must!
The people who give negative reviews for this unit are not following the directions or using cheap pre-ground coffee. "You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear." It also comes with it's own detailed instruction video which I found quite helpful.
