You get what you pay for...
Pros
Inexpensive, Auto timer, Automatic shut off.
Cons
Spills when you pour.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
I would not recommend the VersaBrew. The pouring spout makes a spill with every pour.
Features:
Swing out removable filter basket (Dishwasher Safe)
24 hour programmable digital clock/timer
Sneak a cup/interrupt feature
2 hour automatic shut off
Water fill window with cup levels
Dishwasher safe carafe, lid, and filter basket
The Black & Decker VersaBrew has a very clean look. It's easy to use and program. It has a clock and can be set to automatically brew your coffee for you at what ever time you set it for. It's easy to clean.
BUT.... You have to pour your coffee very slowly or it runs down the side and spills all over your counter. I'm so tired of having to wipe up the counter after my husband's poured himself a cup! I won't even fill the water reservoir with the carafe because I don't want to take the time. Who wants to stand there pouring a thin drizzle to empty a twelve cup pot so you don't spill it?
Must be filled from the top so it does not fit well under a low cupboard. You will have to pull it out each time you need to fill it.
While the features on this coffee maker make it a great bargain for under $20.00, the poor (or is that pour) design make this a coffee maker to avoid.
