The Bottom Line:
If you want the coffee to make it into your cup, chose another brand!
I bought the carafe for this coffee maker. I do not own the full machine but I bought the carafe as a replacement for the cuisinart carafe I recently broke.
It looks fine and I was happy I found something similar to the one broken (I haven't been able to find the exact replacement) and I cleaned it, ran a test pot of water through just to make sure everything would be lined up properly and the coffee wouldn't brew and end up all over the counter!
Well my husband got his cup of coffee first. He spilled 2 cups worth all over the counter because if you pour it slowly it spills out the sides and does the same when you pour it fast! Needless to say he was really upset.
I woke up a few hours later and he said "Be careful when you pour your coffee. You'll be bringing it back to Wal-Mart tomorrow!" He wouldn't tell me what was wrong but I soon figured it out when I poured my coffee and had hot coffee flow down the sides of the carafe, my cup and all over onto the counter.
I was mad. I've been making coffee a long time and I do know how to pour liquids out of a container. Its just made improperly with little to no pouring spout! Well I went to the black and decker website because I was just really ticked and found their 800# It turns out they've had a LOT of complaints with this model, they know there is a problem yet they are still on the shelves. They are supposed to call back Tuesday and I assume they will be replacing it with a model that actually gets coffee into the cup!
DON'T buy this machine! Even the 12 dollar coffee machine in wal-mart can get the coffee into your cup. Stick with that!
