Bodum Chambord 1923 3-Cups Coffee Maker

I bought this coffee maker because it was the only choice at my local RiteAid drugstore, and my previous machine had stopped working late at night. I felt confident in the Black and Decker label, and did not stop to consider quality; I have purchased Black and Decker products frequently and been entirely satisfied. However, this product was a severe disappointment. The machine is poorly engineered, with a coffee carafe that spills no matter how carefully you pour from it. The basket where you put coffee is extremely difficult to remove and replace properly, and the lack of space for it to swing open means you must remove it each time to refill a filter and coffee. The basket leaks from the side if not correctly replaced, causing water to puddle under the machine. It is very difficult to replace it accurately on its mount. It has proved to be so frustrating to use that,even though it is new (one month), I am carefully shopping for a replacement!
