The Bottom Line:
Unique shimmery shades for both cheekbones & eyelids.
I picked up this Bobbi Brown compact about 6 months ago and have become quite attached. I'm especially fond of the shade at the bottom, which is a medium golden brown with a slight coppery tone. It is a nice complement to other brown powder shades I have, yet light enough to be used on a lighter complexion.
I have experimented with using these colors on my cheeks in addition to blush(as well as without) and feel it creates a nice contour to the face. It creates a healthy glow without a harsh bronzer look in the winter months. The effect is a smooth shimmer but without excessive glitter -- creating a more sophisticated effect which stands out from other color palettes I have used in the past.
I have also tried the bottom brownish bronze shade as an eyeshadow. I was pleased with the appearance and recommend layering it over a base eyeshadow to get the maximum staying power. I liked how the shimmer provides a pretty highlight but also is understated as well. This compact is especially attractive on the cheekbones as well on eyelids, providing a versatile palette to add to your makeup collection and small enough to take along for travel and touchups.
