The Times They Are A-Changin' but Bob Dylan's Classics Still Resonate (BOBS W/O)
My day will begin with a musical confession. I, as a fan of all things rock and roll, have very little knowledge of Bob Dylan. Even worse, outside of his biggest songs I really have very scant ideas about who he is and what his music sounds like. Don't get me wrong—I know he is a talented... Read full review »
"Greatest Hits": Chapter 1 in the career of The Master (BOBS W/O)
In the music world, when Greatest Hits compilations come out, it usually means one of two things: 1. the artist has retired or has died, and the Greatest Hits are used to either keep his/her career alive or to cash in on his/her reputation; 2. it is generally believed that the artist is at the end... The First Alternative Musician
When Bob Dylan appeared on the music scene, he trashed the standards of popular music, opening them up to new thoughts, ideas, and sounds, with no regard for industry opinion.
In an era when music was only popular if performed by perfectly packaged vocal groups that could harmonize, Bob...

O the Time's.... They are A-Changing...but Dylan is still here
Off in my college travels, I find the local Super Walmart here in Charleston, IL, to be very helpful. Along with the bare essentials that everyone needs, Super Wally-World is equipped with CD's. I usually don't buy CD's from these types of stores because CD's are usually edited, but I couldn't pass... Read full review »
10 tracks, 10 great songs
Bob Dylan is one of those artists who speaks his mind, both through his music and his beautiful lyrics. His brilliant career has spanned decades, and in that time he has touched the world. This album, albeit a small one, is a perfect indication of that.
This album features ten tracks, and...

Bob - Can He Fix it?
Bob Dylan is possibly unique amongst musicians in that he has become famous all over the world and earned the respect and admiration of his peers without ever really aspiring to achieve mainstream commercial success. He writes and performs songs about whatever subject he chooses and writes them in... Read full review »
Modern Classic
Bob Dylan will be in history books 100 years from today. You heard it here first. To find out why, buy his first greatest hits album. Songs such as "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Blowin' in the Wind" are some of the most recognizable of the second half of the 19th Century. However, his songs get... Read full review »
If You're Born 20 years after this stuff, Who's Bob Dylan?
This is a great CD for kids like me who want to know what the fuss about Bob Dylan is all about. This CD has the songs that make this guy a legend "Blowin In The Wind", "Like A Rolling Stone", "Times They Are-A Changin", "Mr Tamborine Man"...all of them.
Keeping this CD at only ten songs...

The Greatest Songwriter!
Bob Dylan is by far the best songwriter and lyricist that I have ever experienced in my lifetime. These ten songs are perfect picks to be on a greatest hits album although with Dylan you could have make about five cd's.
It all starts off with "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35", which most people...

Great music from a great man
I have always liked Bob Dylan, though this is the only CD that I have of him, I plan to get more in the near future. This Cd features 10 of his "Greatest" songs, though Bob Dylan has many more. Some fast ones such as "Like a rolling Stone", "Mr. Tambourine Man",and "Subterranean Homesick blues" are... Read full review »

Bob Dylan - Vol. 1-Greatest Hits
Then a holding action while Dylan unloaded his head after his May 1966 motorcycle crash, now a nostalgia merit badge for boomers and a course in Dylan 101 for '90s newcomers, Greatest Hits stands up remarkably well as a listening experience. Smartly programmed to ride all over any residual worries about acoustic-vs.-elect ric authenticity--in fact, blowing a raspberry in their face by opening with the Salvation-Army-ban d blast of "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35"--this best-of stacks AM smashes and protest anthems together in celebration of a pop star like no other before. --Rickey Wright
