I decided to purchase Boarder Zone on a whim. It was cheap--only 25 bucks, and I had tons of fun playing Cool Boarders on Playstation. Unfortunately, Boarder Zone does not fully pay off.
There are some good things about Boarder Zone. The interface is pretty easy, especially since you only have to use two buttons, even for the most complicated tricks. The graphics are decent and overall, the game LOOKS very nice. No big complaints there. The music, on the other hand, is pretty unexciting; the same track plays over and over throughout.
There are also some minor bugs in the game. For example, after taking a dive, the game restarts you directly in front of a wall, so you are stuck trying to redirect your board. Not a crippling bug, but very annoying. The game is also generally boring--I didn't find myself coming back to it after I stopped playing. It's fairly unoriginal and lacks the creativity that makes me want to play.
Overall, the game is somewhat fun, but I would not recommend it to anyone other than snowboarding fans.
