I am a subscriber to PC gamer magazine. Last month's demo disc had the game Boarder Zone on it. I like the extreme sports so I decided to try it out. The demo of the game was really fun. The "big air" track and the race course proved to be very fun. I decided that I should buy the game when it came out. I read a review for it and the only main downfall of it was that it only had 9 tracks on it. Not including the half-pipes and the big air. Despite the small amount of tracks, the game was still fun to play. Besides the fact that "Boarder Zone" is practically the only snowboarding game for the PC, I think I still would've chosen it over the others based on the experience from the demo. There are definitely more pros to this game then cons. The pros: easy to control the players, of the 9 tracks they are good tracks; fairly addictive, able to play it quite awhile, multiple modes of play, players; and boards of different qualities (turning, speed, flexibility) that you get as you progress in the championship. The cons: 9 tracks, isn't a "perfect" board where all "qualities" are at 5; half-pipe and big-air competitions seem sided towards the CPU. Overall this game is quite fun and worth buying.
