My son came home from his Dr's appointment today with my mom, and he brought home the new Blue's Clues movie, Blue's Big Musical Movie!
He was so excited he hardly stopped to tell me how it went, he wanted the movie on and he wanted it on NOW!
Ok, so I admit it, I like Blue's Clues and contrary to other people's opinions I kinda think Steve is cute.... heehee did I really say that?! He gets right down on a child's level and makes them feel good and helpful! He makes them think and solve the clues on their own!
Blue's Big Musical Movie is about all the characters in the daytime show getting together to put on a music show. It features Blue (of course), Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika, Slippery, Pail and Shovel, Side Table Drawer, Tickety Tock, MailBox, Perrywinkle and Steve all getting ready for the show. They have a clip board with all the things they have to do to get ready for the big show and the kids have to help them get it all checked off!
There is also a game of Blue's Clues to help Steve figure out who Blue wants to sing her duet with after Tickety Tock loses her voice! As always Steve needs the kids help to find the clues, as he never finds the clues on his own, except for this time, he actually finds one on his own, GO STEVE! :o)
The movie also teaches kids how a song is created with the help of G-Clef, the voice of Ray Charles! It is really interesting how they break the song down so kids can understand how a song is created! It teaches them high and low notes, rhythms, and basically all the parts that go into making a song!
The movie is about an hour and 15 minutes long and it kept my kids glued to the tv the entire time! There is tons going on, Steve is being pulled in two different directions all the time while everyone tries to get ready for the show!
In the end it all comes together and the show is a complete success with everyone playing a part in it!
I really enjoyed this movie (I mean my kids really enjoyed this movie)! It is a great way to get the kids involved, my kids were yelling out answer at the screen as always!!! So go get yourself, I mean your kids a copy today!
