Blue's Big Musical is a video that teaches kids perseverence and many lessons, and causes a lot of laughter and fun at the same time!
Blue?s Big Musical Movie is Blue?s first actual movie. This movie includes all of the characters on Blue?s Clues and another new character, Periwinkle the cat.
Steve, Blue, and all the other characters are planning a ?Be all you can be music show?. Steve has a checklist of all the things he needs to do, eat breakfast, make costumes, build the stage, and make snacks. After breakfast when Tickity and Blue are practicing their ?teacher? song, Tickty loses her voice. Instead of giving up, she decided to ring her bell instead and Steve begins a game of ?Blue?s clues? to figure out who Blue wants to be her new singing partner. Periwinkle, who is eavesdropping from the window, hears music show and miss-interprets it to magical show. As Steve runs around trying to get everything done, Periwinkle tries and tries to get Steve to see her magic tricks, but of course Steve keeps running around and never gets to see them. Side table drawer also tries to ask Steve if she can sing in the show, but is too shy.
All the characters that are normally minor characters in Blue?s Clues are in this movie, including; Magenta, Green, Slippery Soap, Tickity, Side Table drawer, Mrs. Salt, Mr. Pepper, Baby Paprika, and Mailbox. They each have their own special part in the show. They sing about what they want to be.
Steve needs to find his song too. He finally finds it with the help of ?G-Clef? who explains to him the basics of a song- notes, rhythm, tempo, and heart & soul . The voice of Ray Charles is used for G-Clef and his songs are bound to get your kids dancing, if not yourself too! It also introduces your child to the basics of music theory, which is easily understood.
This video, like all Blue?s Clues videos, is filled with many learning opportunities. It encourages critical thinking , problem solving, and self-confidence. All the characters run into some sort of ?problem? and they all encourage one another not to give up when problems arise. It helps build the character?s self esteems, and will surely help do the same for the child who is watching it.
This video is very captivating. I absolutely loved it, as did my 22 month old daughter, With all the great songs, it is a video that encourages you to get up and sing and dance along with Steve, Blue, and the whole entire cast of Blue's Clues.
