Our daughter is a HUGE Blue's Clues fan. Her entire room is full of Blue's Clues merchandise. So when we heard there was going to be a Blue's Clues movie, we knew we'd have to buy it for her to add to her collection of Blue's Clues videos.

We found it at Wal-Mart for a reasonable price, $12.95. The movie never made it to the buggy because my daughter held it the entire time! She wanted to watch it then, but we told her we had to pay for it and take it home.

So we popped it into the VCR when we got home and our daughter was glued to the TV for hour and a half movie.

The movie includes all the regular characters from the TV show. Those include: Steve, Blue the dog, Tickity Tock the clock, Shovel and Pail, Mr. and Mrs. Salt and Pepper, Side Table Drawer and Mailbox. The only 'real' person in the entire movie is Steve. All the rest are cartoons. There's one new character, Periwinkle, the cat next door.

The movie starts in the morning, with everyone waking Steve up. They begin singing about what they are going to do that day which is "We?re having a show out in the backyard?". After the song, they proceed to the kitchen to have breakfast. Steve produces a list of things they have to do that day. Their goal is to check everything off before their show starts.

The name of their show is "You can be anything you want to be". All the characters dress up in all different types of people, like doctors and sailors. Blue and Tickity plan on singing a duet, but Tickity?s voices goes. Now they don?t know what to do!

This is when it?s time for Blue?s Clues. Blue?s Clues is the game that they play each episode. Blue puts a pawprint on three different clues. It?s Steve and the kids in the audience?s job to find the clues and put them together to find the answer.

There are several sub plots, one being finding a new partner for Blue. The other sub plot is to check everything off their list. A third, finding out why Side Table Drawer is so sad and a fourth, Periwinkle?s determination to be a part of the show.

There are several songs in the movie and lots of different games that they play to get the kids involved. As usual, there?s lots of color and Steve really works hard at getting the kids in the audience involved.

I think that this is a great movie for all Blue?s Clues fans. It?s also great if it?s the first movie that a child has as their first exposure to Blue. The movie is laid out very well, showing the kids how to get involved, how to overcome shyness, being sure to involve everyone in an activity and how to work as a team. They also learn that they must do things in order and it?s important not to give up in anything that you do.

The movie is great and I highly recommend it!
