The Bottom Line:
If you enjoy religion in a movie and want to see the fight against good and evil then this is for you.
That special star that was around when Jesus was born was around on December 16 for one family. Cody, the little girl in the movie, was born on this fateful day and was set apart and different. She was special and innocent. Her mother leaves her when she is 9 days old with her aunt (Kim Bassinger). Life seems to be good and Cody accepts her difference as well as gets into a special school. From then on when she turns 6 life changes and that's where the movie gets good and interesting.
You would want to watch this movie to see the rest. I wouldn't want to spoil the effects for you. But, I will tell you that it is worth seeing, even if it's just for the effects that they bring in for the spirituality side of it.
Lately I've had an interest in the type of movies that deal with religion and all that goes with that. The devil is real and I'm glad that people are making that clear. I like to see a movie that is willing to bring in a little religion or in this case base an entire movie on it.
Bless the child went as far in their special effects to show the demons and angels that are all around those that are good and evil. This in my opinion was great.
Bless the child made me think about my own spirituality and wonder if I could be like this child more than I am. She is pure innocent and believes in God with all her heart. She has a healing touch which is so real in this movie. I know it is only a movie but this touched my soul with it's fight against good and evil.
If you like this type of movie I would also recommend Stigmata. That is another good one in this type of movie.
