This things rocks my socks off! I told my husband that I wanted a blender that didn't suck. We registered for one and got the best Breville that Crate & Barrel or Bed Bath & Beyond could offer. They were two-toned, ugly, and made with plastic parts = not durable.
I make lots of smoothies and I like to put whole ice cubes and frozen fruit in the blender without having to break out a spoon and then ruin the spoon because the motor got stuck on the ice cube or chunk of strawberry.
Well, this thing is my favorite. We did lots of research on finding the best one and between Vitamix and this one, this is the best looking. It is the most sleek (seriously... why must they be powerful, yet ugly?) and matches with our decor. And most of all, it works! It works really well and I love to use it to make everything from smoothies to salsa.
I saw a demonstration in Costco the other day and the man made rice flour out of about 2 cups of rice and no moist ingredients (obviously for flour). I don't know why this got poor reviews before, but I'm here to tell you that unless you're grinding rocks (don't. It ruins your lifetime warranty), it will last you a lifetime.
