I bought this waffle maker for home use. We love nothing more than to wake up on the weekend and have a family breakfast with delicious waffles.
I shopped around before selecting this particular brand. What I liked best were the price, style, ease of use, and brand familiarity.
The only disadvantage to waffle irons is that if you a feeding a large group of people, you may want the get an early start on making them, or people are just going to have to wait! That's the only real disadvantage to this product that I've found.
The waffle iron is sturdy and safe, I haven't burnt myself on it yet, but I'm sure if you stuck you hand to the hot metal surface you would, but the exterior stays nice and cool during the cooking process.
I would have liked a little indicator light to give me an idea when the waffle is done, but have learned to just use my kitchen timer instead.
I use a bit of non-stick spray before pouring in batter and my waffles always come out beautiful and cleaning the unit is a breeze!
I think for the price this is the best product out there!
