This waffle maker is great in that it cooks in a few minutes and has a light indicator to let you know when the waffle is ready instead of you having to constantly open it to check. This helps in holding in the heat allowing the waffle to cook faster. Durability is great- the hinges have remained in tact for the 5 years. You only need a fork to lift the waffles out of the cooker..so you don't have to worry about scratches on the nonstick surface, and it's easy to clean requiring no scrubbing or scraping. When you are ready to clean it, simply wipe with a paper towel or give it a quick sponge cleaning. Its simple and easy to use. I place the cooked waffles in the oven on low heat to keep warm if I'm expecting to cook more than 4. Another way to overcome the cooling of the cooked waffles or drying in the oven while keeping them warm there is to heat your butter and syrup so that they make your dish yummy and hot to eat again.
