Nice little coffee maker

Pros Keeps coffee hot for a long time.
Cons Leaked if carafe lid was too tight
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  The product is stylish, simple to use, easy to clean, shuts off as soon as it finishes brewing and makes a great pot of coffee. I love it.
I purchased this coffee maker a year ago for about $30 and I love not dealing with a burner that can scorch the bottom of the pot.

It automatically shuts off when it finishes brewing so when you leave your house in the morning, you do not have to wonder if you remembered to shut it off. (I never trusted that 2 hour shut off feature on most machines).

You can choose paper filters or purchase a metal mesh basket. The basket holder removes easily for cleaning. The reservoir is a bit tight for a hand to fit if you want to wipe it down so I just use a vinegar solution to clean it out once in a while.

This machine has the timer option so your coffee can be brewed and waiting for you when you wake up. The thermal carafe holds 10 cups and keeps your coffee hot and fresh tasting for hours. It doesn't take up a lot of space on your counter. I like a strong cup of coffee and this machine seems to make use of each and every ground I place in it. I have tried different grinds and it seems to handle most grinds pretty well. If You enjoy the finer grinds I would keep an eye open while brewing as I have seen the machine clog up with the very find grind that is almost like powder but then I have seen that with several machines.

The one problem I had with this unit was that it leaked all over my counter a few times until I figured it out. If you screw on the carafe lid too tight it does not always push the release valve far enough and the coffee backs up in the basket. The solution? I just leave the lid screwed on halfway and it has not leaked since while brewing.

How can they perfect this model? Fix the release valve so that it does not leak when the carafe lid is tightly secured and Add a grinder to the unit and I would be in heaven!
