Temperature of coffee was better than Mr. Coffee thermal coffeemaker. Easy to program.

The Bottom Line:
I cannot recommend this coffeemaker. Good basic design features, but the terrible lid and narrow carafe mouth made me dread cleaning it.
I was very pleased with the price and general design of this coffeemaker (auto-off, thermal carafe, ability to take carafe out while still brewing) and at first was grateful that I didn't have to pre-heat the carafe as I did with my Mr. Coffee in order to get decently hot coffee. It also had a handy little hole at the back so that it wouldn't overfill (not a problem for me because I always keep my coffeemaker on a tray to catch minor stray spills). BUT...the mouth of the carafe made it very difficult to get it clean, and worse, the lid has a hole in it which traps coffee (and worse yet, dishwashing water!!!) in it which requires very vigorous shaking to get out. And even then, you can miss some. Then it leaks into the coffee pot, giving you a very disgusting pot of brew. After months of struggling with this design, I am relegating this pot to the trashbin.
