Black & Decker G48TD Waffle Maker

My mother purchased this waffle iron about five years ago, and she has since gone on a heart waffle making frenzy! She has whipped out whole wheat waffles, blueberry waffles, waffles with whipped cream, peach and honey waffles, waffles with nuts, waffles a la mode, waffle sandwiches...she freezes them, sends them with my father to work, and even sent packages of them with me to school! They arrived a bit soggy, but hey, anything is better than cafeteria food!

This waffle iron is great. It is a cinch to use, a snap to clean-up, and it even fuels your creativity (which may or may not be a good thing...TOFU waffles??). You can pour in the batter and go about your business in the kitchen, but you have to mind the little orange light that alerts you when your culinary masterpiece is finished. The one that we own does not have an alarm, but there have been very few waffle mishaps in the years we have owned this iron.

This waffle iron has held up wonderfully through the years, and it cleans up easily. After being served heart shaped waffles approx. 1,223,908 times, I searched the department stores for a STAR shaped waffle iron...no such luck. Maybe next year they will expand their shapes :)
