The Bottom Line:
Not my favorite design in all honesty.
I was really excited to use my new waffle iron. I got it at Lowe's and I had never had a waffle iron before. I read all the instructions and such to make sure I didn't mess anything up.
It is not cool to the touch. Do not let your children anywhere near it. It also has a really small cord so I always have to get an extension cord out when I want to use it.
The waffles I got from it were really messy. I had other people try to use it to make waffles to just wondering if maybe I didn't have much experience with the waffle maker and that's why they weren't coming out right. They didn't look done, but they were burnt to a crisp. I had one good batch out of it and it spilled batter all over the sides.
It makes a better griddle than it does a waffle iron. Its pretty portable so if you are going to somewhere (with electricity) you can make pancakes and such. Gives really nice instructions for using the griddle portion that really work for cooking bacon and such.
I wasn't very pleased with the waffle portion of it, but the griddle portion was alright. I would suggest putting your money into a more durable, safe design for a waffle iron. It dissapointed me in that way.
