The Bottom Line:
Highly recommend, especially for single people that are not large coffee drinkers. Families might do better with a normal size coffee maker.
I so loved the DCM6 that I bought the DCM7 so I would have a spare coffee maker (by the way the baskets are interchangeable). I like the idea of not having to buy filters. I love this coffee maker.
I'm guessing the coffee is made in 30 seconds. It seems I just turn the switch on when I hear the unit turn itself off and the coffee is ready. (The coffee comes out too hot for me so I always have an ice cube in the large mug so I can drink the coffee soon after it is ready.
The best price I found at the time was on Ebay (new one at $15 plus shipping).
