Black & Decker Cup At A Time DCM7 Coffee Maker

I enjoy a good cup of coffee in moderation though, and I like it black. I think cream and sugar ruin the taste. Most of the time I only drink it in the morning and I don’t usually have time to drink a whole cup, so I can only have half a cup. That’s why I felt this coffee maker would be perfect for me.
Here’s how it works. It’s quite simple. You open the top lid and put some coffee into the removable non-disposable filter, then pour some water into it, then press the button and it brews a single cup into your mug, none is provided. It takes approximately 3-4 times to brew, not bad. And let me warn you the coffee does get hot, so please be careful.
The major downfall of this coffee maker is that it’s a pain to clean. The only thing easy to clean is the permanent filter. The basket that the filter sits in eventually builds up a film of “coffee oil” so to speak, and the grooves at the bottom are the worst to clean. They seem almost impossible to clean. Unfortunately, the lid doesn’t remove from the rest of the machine, again another difficult cleaning task.
The coffee grounds and fresh water spot are right next to each other, so be careful because sometimes the coffee water ends up into the fresh water side.
Don’t worry, there is a major plus side to this coffee maker. It has a permanent filter, which means you don’t have to keep buying and replacing filters. And to clean the filter, you can just put it in the dishwasher. That simple.
Overall, despite the major pain it is to clean, I still recommend this product, unless you are planning on serving a lot of dinner guests because after all, it is only a cup at a time coffee maker. This product is made suited for one who only drinks a little bit coffee
