Programmable Coffee? Cool!
Pros
The Black and Decker Coffee Maker offers all the necessities of a coffee pot.
Cons
There can be a little mess of water when you open the one piece unit.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
Black and Decker makes quality products. We own several of their products and have never had any problems with them. At least not yet.
While my husband's family was visiting with us a few months back we were using our coffee maker a lot! Now for the ten dollars we paid for the coffee maker it was doing a good job (see review here: http://www.epinions.com/content_103656558212), but going through a lot of use. And although was a great coffee maker, it was not exactly what I wanted, but what I could afford at the time. So while at Target, we picked up a better one. And I like this one a lot better. In fact, it's one of the best I have owned. And my mother in law bought it for me, which made it really nice!
The Product
Black and Decker? Smart Brew™ model DCM2500 has some wonderful features. What a coffee pot should have I think. There is a Digital Clock Timer, Sneak A Cup Interrupt Feature, One Piece Cover, Dual Water Level Indicators and Touch Pad Controls. Those are really nice! The controls are flat to the unit and very attractive. The hot pad is just that, HOT! And very easy to clean by just wiping it off with a damp clothe.
The pot is a 12-cup pot that is also drip-less when pouring. This makes me very happy as well. The spout is wide and sort of square. I have never seen one like this spout. The pot itself is wide at the bottom and narrows just a little towards the top. There is a white handle and white band around the top of the pot. The maker itself is also white, with the words Black and Decker? Smart Brew™ plus written right on the front center of the unit. And there are easy to read markings on both sides of the pot.
The Touch Pad Controls are very nice. Simply press the on/off pad found on the bottom front, set the clock or set the timer all right there at the fingertips. The clock displays in red numbers. Very nice! And so very easy to keep clean, just wipe it all off with a damp clothe.
When you open the top of the unit to add water, coffee and filter you will find all of these items in one unit. Meaning, that the water will be poured into the back of the maker, you can take the basket out or leave it in to add the coffee filter and coffee and then close the lid back down. All nice and sleek and one design! This was a plus as well! I like being able to remove just the basket to empty the grounds of coffee and storing it right back in this one unit design or I can take just the old filter and toss it away without removing the basket. It is so very easy to do and no problems with trying to get a swinging basket to get back into place!

How I Feel
We have always preferred the 12-cup coffee makers because I can fill up my husband's thermos for work and both of us get a nice size cup of coffee. And I have always liked the clock and timers on coffee makers, makes life a little easy I think. I certainly like being able to have coffee ready on those early morning fishing trips!
And the pot, well, it is one of a kind I think. Like I mentioned above I have not seen this design on a coffee pot/carafe before until this maker came into my life. I have not had any water to pour out all over the counter and that is certainly a plus in my book.
Now there is one thing that I don't like about this unit and that is this: when you open the one piece lid, water has gathered in that top part and when that part is opened the water will drip down onto the counter. I have learned to open this lid slowly, which allows the water to drip back into the maker. Remembering to do this is the trick!
I also love the handle on this unit because it is very comfortable to the hand. And the pot lid is hinged, which is also nice because it allows me to open it without any problems. The cord can also be stored in the back of the unit, which is nice if you have small counters.
Over all, this is one of the best coffee makers I have ever owned and highly recommend it to all.
