It toasts, but slowly
Pros
Cheap. Toasts evenly. Pull-out crumb tray.
Cons
Slow and loud.
Recommended it?
Yes
I have had quite a few B&D toaster-ovens. Mostly I use them for toasting, occasionally for baking. I have learned not to expect them to last a very long time, but they are inexpensive, at least.
This one, the TRO390, I got a couple of months ago. It actually has toasted fairly well, although it takes quite some time to do so. And it has toasted evenly, which I really like. And it has a pull-out crumb tray, a must for me.
I got it at K-Mart for $35, which is less than half of what I paid for my prior B&D, which did NOT toast evenly, was always a pain to use, and expired meekly, thus resulting in my buying the TRO390.
So far, so good. We'll see.
