Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be excited about a can opener!!
The Black & Decker Company sent me this EC87 model after I had gone through 2 of their EC600 models...course, I did to a little complaining!
The Black & Decker Spacemaker Can Opener EC85 works like a can opener should!!
It is easy to clean because of it's nice simple lines. The blade, which is removable for cleaning, is sharp and opens any size can...and any weight can. It has an automatic shut-off and mounts under the cabinets.
As an added extra it has a built-in knife sharpener on the side...and a built-in bottle opener on the bottom.
When you use this can opener you don't have to stand there and hold the can...it does everything all by itself! Plus it comes with a 2 year warranty!
It certainly is a pleasure to use this can opener. I don't even have to wash my kitchen cabinets down after each use( like I did with the EC600 model!)...and I don't have to do anymore "ducking" either!
There is only one thing about this can opener that I would change. I wish it would fold away like the EC600 model...it was nice NOT having to look at it all the time.
