The Bottom Line:
I would suggest spending more on a better pot do get better taste and no grinds.
I love coffee. I love it hot or cold. I love it mostly with cream and sugar, and when I feel like some excitement a shot of some sugary syrup will hit the spot. What I do not love is making coffee. I rather go down the block to get a cup made just like I like it. However in the real world I can not afford $3 a cup for my 4 to 5 cup a day habit. So I bought a coffee maker for home. Now when I went to buy my coffee maker at my local everything under the sun market I noticed there is a coffee maker and everyone's budget. Mine budget was $50. I purchased this coffee maker since it looked nice and it had the brew later function. Setting up the coffee maker was a breeze. I did not even have to read the instructions everything was laid out simply enough to be able to figure out the functions of each button. Brewing my first pot of coffee was pretty simple. I used coffee from my favorite donut chain and it tasted ok, but not as good as it normally dose from the donut shop. I also noticed that some of the coffee grinds got into the pot. I tried different types of liners and sizes. I also tried making smaller pots of coffee no matter what grinds always seem to get in to the pot. I have also brewed tea in this coffee maker without a liner. I simply used the FAMILY size tea bag and the tea came out great. Overall I say this is a so so coffee maker. I do plan on replacing it soon with a more expensive coffee maker.
