I wanted to try juicing, but was hesitant to spend big bucks, in case I didn't like it. So when I saw this refurbished Black and Decker extraction juicer for only $15, I snapped it up. Like other reviewers have noted, you have to cut the fruit and veggies in inch, or so, pieces. And, as also noted, clean-up is a royal pain, especially the fine mesh of the cutter/strainer. However, I found that if I rinse in hot water immediately, it's not as time-consuming. Since this is my first juicer, I have nothing to compare to, but the pulp that I was left with was quite dry and I seemed to get a fair amount of juice from carrots, apple, broccoli and spinach. Since I found that I like the juice and desparately need to get more fruits and veggies into my diet, I will keep using this until it dies and then invest in another higher-end juicer. For someone who only juices occasionally, or wants to give juicing a shot, without a big investment, I reccommend keeping your eyes open for a deal like I got.
