My boyfriend brews at least two pots of coffee a day, sometimes three or four on the weekends, so we need a coffee pot that will stand the test of time. We have been very lucky with the 12 cup Black & Decker Coffee Maker. It has brewed several pots of coffee for us and looks like it will be brewing several more.
I like this coffee maker because it holds 12 cups, which is very easy for use to go through. It is nice as well because halfway through the brewing process if you are impatient or in a hurry you can pour yourself a cup and it will stop brewing until you have placed the pot back on the warmer. I think this is a great feature. You can also see how much water you are putting in on the side of the machine, so you do not overfill.
This coffee maker also has a clock on the front of it, and offers a auto shut off after 2 hours. This is a safety feature that I look for on every coffee pot that I buy. Plus it brews the coffee fast.
This coffee pot is very easy to clean as well. You can run vinegar through it to clean the inside of it, and the basket for the grinds is removable so cleaning is a breeze. I have also ran the pot through the dish washer.
The machine is also programable so you can have your coffee waiting for you whenever you want it.
