Pros Easy to use, convenient, lightweight.
Cons Not a one
Recommended it? Yes

Santa Claus was very kind to me the Christmas of 2001. He saw that I was an over-worked, tired old woman that needed all kinds of help. Under the tree that year was a wonderful foot massager, some fuzzy bedroom slippers, a soft pink chenille robe and a Black & Decker Gizmo Can Opener. So it was... Read full review »

Pros Small, under-cabinet storage is handy.
Cons I just can't make the darn thing work properly!
Recommended it? No

I did request this can opener for Christmas last year - it looked so nifty. I cook a lot, and sometimes the big cans I open are hard to maneuver with my counter stand-up opener. I lived with my sister, so after I opened the Gizmo, she immediately threw out the trusty stand-up model clogging up our... Read full review »

Not at all impressed.

Pros Small and can be hung under cabinet to save on counter space.
Cons Won't hold a charge, plastic parts can break off, not much power.
Recommended it? No

I got one of these because it is small and can be hung below a cabinet so as not to take up counter space. However, upon using it, I found it wouldn't stay charged for long. It spent more time being charged than it did in its holder. Then when it was being used, it was slow and often would stop... Read full review »

Pros easy to hold and portable
Cons won't hold a charge so its worthless if it won't open a can
Recommended it? No

I brought home the gizmo excited about getting the opener I had wanted and not the one that my husband suggested. It worked great for about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks it started loosing its charge. I store it on the charger so that it is always ready. I barely has enough gusto to go around a tuna fish... Read full review »

Pros Cute conversation piece
Cons Battery removal and replacement -terrible..at best.
Recommended it? No

I've had it 1 year. Opens fairly well on small cans. Paid $15 for it and it lost it's charge after 6 month's. Second time lost it's charge 4 month's later and no reviving this play toy. Called all over the place and I couldn't find the battery pack. B&Decker has it-OH-Yes - hence the phrase "throw... Read full review »
