The Bottom Line:
This is a great machine. It's easy to use, the motor is super strong and it cuts and mixes perfectly!
At first I was a little concerned about spending over $80 on a food processor, but after a little thought I went ahead and purchased it. Let me tell you now that I have no regrets at all! I have used this food processor many times for SO MANY different things! The first test of mine was to see how easy it was to put together. My old one was a pain! This one worked perfectly after I figured out how it had to line up, which was quite easy! My next test was to see what different types of slices I could make with cucumbers. I was making pickles and they were cut to perfection (in my opinion).
I have also sliced potatoes for homemade scalloped potatoes (they turned out really nice), carrots for salads and apples to dry them.
Sauces I've made have been very successful. I don't have to cut things up as small as I use to. I cut tomatoes in half and add garlic bulbs with out chopping them along with a few other spices and seasonings to make my home made spaghetti sauce. It ends up being a great consistency. I can choose to leave it chunky or make it into a pizza sauce.
The biggest tests I've put this machine to is making pie dough and home made pasta noodles. The pie dough turned out great with a perfect flaky crust. The noodles worried me, because they really test the motor usually on my food processor...but with this one, it had absolutely no difficulties at all and mixed the noodle dough perfectly!
