Black & Decker 5700 Powershot Forward Action Stapler

The Powershot Forward Action stapler is a heavy-duty staple gun whose squeezing trigger puts pressure on the front of the gun to ensure staples are driven flush to the surface. It requires less force to staple and does not kick up like traditional staple guns. Stapler sets 1/4" thru 9/16" heavy-duty staples and has nailing capability for driving 9/16" brad nails. Other features include a soft-grip handle, all metal housing, and staples-remaining window. UL listed. 2-year LMW. Made in USA. Mis-fires, jams. A real pain.

Mis-fires about three times as often as it fires. Awkward operating angle, jams repeatedly, wastes more staples than it fires. It did all this from the very first, and throughout its life, until I threw it away (today). Read full review »

  I've had two, and they both broke.  They will misfire, not fun in the attic adding insulation.  Then they quit without warning, leaving you standing there holding stuff up to be stapled.
