I'm happy with my mower

Pros No gasoline required; no pollution; quiet; lightweight, since it's mostly made of plastic
Cons Limited range on a battery charge; battery needs replaced after a few years
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Recommended for those who do not want to mess with gasoline, and who do not have large lawns or do not mind a two-day mowing job.
I have had this lawn mower for 7 years and have been pleased with it.  It is so nice not to have to worry about gasoline and oil.  (We haven't been able to find a battery-powered snow blower, so having to mess with gasoline and oil with the snow blower reminds me every year how great it is to have this battery-powered lawn mower!)  The mower is also quieter than a gasoline engine mower; less noise makes lawn mowing more pleasant.  And finally, as others have mentioned, there are no fumes.
The downside of the lawn mower is its limited range on a battery charge.  We live on a corner lot in an old housing development with generally small yards.  The mower would be adequate for lawns in this neighborhood not on a corner lot, but with our yard, sometimes we can't do the whole lawn in one day.  It depends on the length and wetness of the grass.  From time to time it has been a minor annoyance, but never enough to make me want to change to a gasoline mower.
After four years, we had to get the battery replaced on the mower ($130) plus some other spruce-up work (i.e. blade sharpening -- total bill $200).  While it was in the shop, I borrowed a neighbor's gasoline mower.  I noticed it cut the grass a lot better.  The ground in my yard is quite uneven, and the Black & Decker mower is the only mower I've had at this property, so I just assumed the grass looked the way it did because of the ground.  But the neighbor's mower gave the lawn a much more even, neat-looking cut.
So, if you are concerned about a perfect looking lawn, this mower may not be for you.  Also, be sure to consider the size of your yard before purchasing one of these, and determine if the lawn can be mowed in one charge, or decide if you don't mind doing the lawn on two separate days.
As for me, the next time I buy a mower, I will definitely get a battery-powered mower.  I may not necessarily get this model, but I would certainly consider buying another one of these. I like this mower.
