Stay away from this blender. I woke up one morning to the sound of this thing going off in the kitchen. The thing had turned on by itself and was so hot i'm surprised it didn't burn down the house. Scary. After it happened it no longer worked either. At first i thought maybe this was just an anomoly but after reading the other reviews on here it appears other people have had the same problem. I can't believe Black & Deckard still sells it. Talk about a fire hazard.
