Black & Decker ProBlend BL5000 5-Speed Blender

We got this Blender less than a year ago. At first it worked great, we mainly use it for smoothies and crushing ice. After about 6 months of light use (may be once every 2 weeks), the motor starts running all on its own!! It only turns off if I HOLD the off button down with my finger. I think it has to do with the electronics inside because one time I turned on my gas stove, the ignition spark (the thing that clicks) cause the blender to turn itself on! And that is repeatable every time!! It has to be something wrong with switch that makes it susceptible to electro-magnetic interference (EMI).

VERY POORLY DESIGNED AND A FIRE HAZARD!!!
