I was first turned on to the "Spacemaker" line of Black & Decker products by Don & Laura Aslett's book "Make Your House do the Housework." Among the hundred useful pieces of advice it gives is the suggestion to buy suspended appliances to free up counter space and eliminate the constant shuffling of countertop appliances. In short, I absolutely *LOVE* the freedom of a suspended coffeemaker and never having to push it out of the way to clean the countertop of the inevitable messes.
The spacemaker has nice feature of being able to automatically brew for you at a pre-selected time. Say, you get up at 6:30 a.m., then you can set the coffeemaker to brew at 6:20 and have a totally fresh cup of coffee for you when you wake up in the morning--a little piece of heaven. The only drawback--my electronically challenged husband often manages to forget to push (Prog)ram button when he wants to change the brew time and resets the clock instead, resulting in badly scorched coffee. But that's a human error which is easily remedied with a little attention. Also, be careful about uninstalling it for a move--if you're rough with it you'll break the mounting pieces.
I've had this coffeemaker for about two years, and it has always performed faithfully. Though being a coffee snob, I've often wished for an under-the-cabinet expresso maker!
