In my kitchen, I have limited counter space. When the need came for a new coffee maker, we decided to try an under the counter style. We saw this one, a little more costly than the ones for the countertop, but we gave it a try. I am so glad that we did.
We have now had the Black and Decker Spacemaker Optima for over 6 years. We use it to brew coffee and tea daily. We love the convenience of being able to put on the coffee the night before and wake to smell it brewing the next morning. The freed up counter space is a blessing too!
The only problem that I have been having with this coffee maker is that it leaks water from where the water reservoir connects with the nozzle. I have followed the manufacturers cleaning routine and this has not cured the problem. I will admit that I had not cleaned the coffeemaker of it's mineral deposits for nearly a year and once the leaking began. So I am sure I am at fault for this flaw. But other than that, this is a Kitchen must have for coffee and tea drinkers.
I highly recommend this product.
