Brew A Nice Cup of Coffee

Pros Smart looking machine, does the job and clean up is a breeze.
Cons You will have water and coffee grounds on counter if you don't read the directions
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would recommend the Black and Decker Smartbrew 12-Cup Coffeemaker because of its ease in using as long as the instructions are read first.
The Black and Decker Smartbrew 12-Cup coffeemaker is indeed a smart looking machine. Ours is white and stands a little over 12 inches high. It stands on our kitchen counter and fits nicely under the cabinets.

I bought this little honey of a coffeemaker for my husband. It was his Father's day gift. We had used a smaller 4 cup coffeemaker for quite some time but it just wasn't large enough when company came over.

The Black and Decker coffeemaker is easy to use especially if you read the instructions first.

There is a separate area that pulls out for the coffee filters. The area for the water has a clearly defined measuring area. This appliance holds anywhere from 2 cups up to 12 cups of water. You can easily see the depth of water as you pour it into the coffeemaker.

We have had no problem with build up of coffee in the appliance.

My husband says it makes a great cup of coffee! He and my son are the coffee drinkers so I put creedence in their opinions.

I see only one drawback in this machine. If you don't read the instructions, you just might have coffee grounds and water all over your counter top like I did.

The coffee pot has to be placed on the heating element with its handle sticking straight out and not turned to the side. The pouring spout has to push in a little mechanism in order for the coffee to start brewing and drain into the coffee pot. If you don't do this, the water that you have put into the appliance will not drain through the filter with the coffee in it. The water along with the coffee grounds will drain onto your counter. I guarantee it will be a mess to clean up.

This is the only drawback I have seen with this coffeemaker. I think this is a great coffeemaker and would recommend it to any coffee drinkers.
