Bissell Velocity Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I have 2 vacuums in my basement that I've purchased within the year. The suction on this vacuum was great until a month ago when the suction all of a sudden failed after only having it for a few months. I gave up on it and was thinking about getting a dyson. But after a little advise from a friend it just required a little maitenance. I have 2 kids, a lab, a cat, & a dirt driveway. Besides emptying the cannister there is a filter slot underneath that I would recommend washing with soap & water at least biweekly if you have alot of dirt/pet hair accumulation. There's also a filter on the side which you can rinse every few months or replace when needed. On the inside of the cannister at the top collects fur balls simply wipe it out with a damp cloth (unplugged of course). My vacuum works like new again-no purchasing a dyson just yet!
