Bissell 1867 Stick Steam Cleaner

This steam mop is just awesome. I read all of the reviews and almost didn't get it, but realizing that the biggest complaint was too much water left after mopping, I decided to try it. After I used it on my kitchen floor I was amazed! There was minimal water left and the floor dried VERY quickly. The cord is long enough for the areas I cleaned and it produced steam perfectly. It did leave some streaks, but after reading a review by someone advising to use a new pad to get rid of the streaks, I did just that and it worked just fine, the streaks are gone. I didn't realize how dirty my floor was, YUCK! I imagine there must be some imbedded dirt that will take a time or two to get it all up. My floors are tile and sealed wood and it worked just great.
I have one of those mops with the disposable pads and the bottles of cleaner that you buy time and time again, and I have to say I am pleased that I will no longer have to do that. It was getting pretty expensive, and the end results were not great. The Steam Mop is a much, much better way for me to clean my floors. We live in an area where it rains a lot and the mud and muck that comes in my house is ridiculous. I also have a teenager and a six and four year old who are always spilling things. This mop makes it so easy to clean up after them, the little ones actually want to use it themselves.
I had no trouble with the pads falling off. The string thing tightens just fine and keeps them in place.
