It's pretty common knowledge that you avoid buying cleaning tools for your wife on Christmas... BUT! This one really made a hit and became the exception to the rule. It may be the most welcome appliance in the whole house. 2 kids and a husband can really make a mess of things and the spot lifter is more than capable to handle us and our clumsy spills.
It's first task was a simple full glass of water which was set on the ground and accidentally kicked over. It sucked up all of it in seconds before it had a chance to soak into the padding of the rug.
Next was a spilled potpourri burner that no one had noticed for 3 days or so. Holy Shamolie! there was a big, green, dried stain where carpet used to be. Again, it picked up the potpourri bits AND removed the stain. You can't tell there was a spill!
We used to have an upright steam cleaner (Regina carpet cleaner I believe) and it was a hassle to prepare for a spot cleaning. Not only that but it was shared between us and my sister-in-law. Frankly, I was getting tired of trying to remember who has it at the time and so I go pick it up or ask them to bring it over? They can keep it now, the handheld device even works better than the upright, full-size, heavy duty cleaner!
The battery does not last long at all but at least it came fully charged out of the box. (your mileage may vary)
The price was even more wonderful, I paid $29.95 a week before Christmas.
At that price, even if I broke it after a couple uses, I can still replace it for the price of dinner for 2.
