Bissell 1715-G Bagless Handheld Vacuum

I live in an apartment with two kids of my own, several more that I keep during the day and a cat, I was looking for something that would clean up stains easily. Well, I went out to the local Wal-Mart and bought my Bissell Spot Lifter! I was so proud. After all it had taken me three weeks just to locate one in our town. When I would go to get one the stores would all be sold out. So I was sold on the notion that it must be a GREAT product. When I got it home the first thing that disturbed me was the fact that it held its charge for only five minutes. I put that bit of information aside telling myself that I don't let the kids eat in the living room anyway so I will need it for the upholstered chairs in the kitchen only. The chairs should need no more than five minutes anyway. I didn't even get the moisture out of the first chair before the charge died. My second problem was that the solution tank emptied real quick! I suggest you use a seperrate spray bottle for your solution. The third problem I had is that if you are using it on a couch or another piece of furniture like that, you need to be really carefull! You need to keep the Spot Lifter flat. If the nose of the machine is pointed up just a little bit all your dirty water will run in and drain out the vent slots in the sides. This makes for a HUGE mess. Especially when it runs back onto what you just cleaned. My Spot Lifter quit working after no more than three months. Not Good. I do not plan on ever buying another Spot Lifter and I do not recommend it to any of my friends!
