A super little cleaning device with a few minor set backs.
Pros
Easy to use in emergencies.
Cons
Battery life and leaking.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would still recommend this product despite the battery life and leaking concerns because it is so darn handy. I would probably buy it again.
With kids and dogs in the house, I don't know how anyone would manage without something like the Bissell Spotlifter. I have owned the Bissell 1715 model for about two years. It has saved me numerous times.
The best thing about this product is its ease of use. When the unexpected mess happens, I can grab it and clean up the mess in a matter of minutes. The convenience factor is so strong that I tolerate its few drawbacks.
It does tend to loose its battery life. It still does the job, as long as they are small ones. Larger jobs, I would be hard pressed to finish before the battery gives up on me.
Another thing to watch for is it's potential to leak after use. This worried me because the liquid would drip through the electrical charging outlet.
I have found the best way to avoid this is to take the solution canister off while facing down (so that the liquid doesn't leak into the body of the vacuum). We also keep the cleaning canister filled and ready to install, but you need a place to store it with it's black valve facing up (again to avoid leaks). We set it in an little plastic tub that serves as a cradle.
In summary, it is a great little product despite it's few setbacks. I hope to see future models have a better battery life.
