Bissell 7901 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum

I bought this machine shortly after I had my carpet professionally cleaned. It was probably about 3 months before I opened the box and assembled it (that was difficult for me a little). The attachments fit onto the back which is a nuisance for someone like myself who doesn't use them. Once assembled, I cleaned my carpet and they came out pretty good. However, a few months later, it was in for repair, and had only been used about 4 times. The machine literally fell apart! The design of this machine was not well thought out and now WE are experiencing the brunt of it. I had the machine fixed under warranty. The company was difficult to reach through e-mail. Calling is better. Now that the machine was fixed, I was using it probably about once a month, which would be 5 times since repair. It broke again, same problem, but this time they are telling me it's gone a different route. Now it is NOT covered under warranty. How that happens is beyond me! With lousy customer service and a non working machine, it is safe to say that I will NEVER own a Bissell again, and I will spread the word as far as the ear can hear! I detest modern technology where everything is designed to break down after a short period of time. This is just one more example. Where's the pride in American Workmanship? None here!
