Pros Economically priced, great suction and attachments, long cord and easy to empty
Cons You get to see what your other vacuum left behind... yuck!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Buy this! It is a great cleaning tool, and will save you a lot of work and vacuuming time! Easy to empty and no messy bags!
I had to buy this vacuum on sudden notice, when my faithful but not too powerful Dirt Devil started to smoke (literally) and stopped sucking. Or it started to suck, depending on how you want to look at it. Anyway, I decided to go bagless, as I had heard some good things, and then I surfed the 'net and found this Bissell priced reasonably at WalMart.

Well, a forty minute trip later, I had my Bissell, and I couldn't tell you how happy I have been these last couple of months! Things got sucked out of my carpet and spun around in that cup within seconds of turning it on! Hair, dust, thread (I sew), you name it, it was in that cup. My carpet actually smelled fresh when I was done! I own a short-haired dog, who is shedding constantly, and it got that out, too!

This handy vacuum also has attachments, with a built-in hose that is about 3-4 feet long, when stretched. The built-in hose is nice, as you don't have to worry about making sure it is firmly in place before pulling on it, and it is also very heavy plastic/rubber, so it doesn't feel chintsy or like it will break. It has good suction power on hose settings, not like a canister vacuum, but good enough to clean the cracks of my stairs, and the embedded hair on my dog's bed. It also got the crud out of my window sills, which everyone knows builds up over time! It is enough suction for the moderate-heavy cleaning person, and will clean out the stuff from the couch, just not really stuck-on hair weaved into the material.

This vacuum has several floor height settings, as well as one for bare floors. It works well on bare floors, and doesn't blow the stuff everywhere on this setting. In fact, I use it to suck up the hair on my marble bathroom floor just fine, and I don't have to chase the hair all around the bathroom; it comes up where it lays.

The cup and filter areas are very easily accessible and can be opened with one hand. The cleaning cup has a lever that you just push to one side to unlock, pull out the cup, dump, put back in, and flip back to lock. It really is THAT easy. The only downside to this is the fine dust does tend to rise in the air a little bit; you want to make sure you dump the cup in a very deep, empty garbage bag.

Lastly, the cord is very long, and I found I can generally vacuum one to two full rooms, depending on where I plug it in. In my case, I can do my living room, dining room, and my kitchen with one trip to the socket. I would say the cord is about 7 feet, since I don't have the manual in front of me. Oh, yes, and the vacuum is relatively light, about 10 lbs to lift, so it can be moved up stairs fairly easily.

Overall, this is a must buy for any person, as it is economical and gets the job done.
